Wii
 Nintendo Wii
Nintendo's Wii video game system (pronounced "we") is the new home video game console that represents a radical step into a new era of entertainment. Whether you're an experienced gamer, or a complete novice, Wii has what you're looking for: fun by the bucket load! The Nintendo Wii aims to change the way you play by maximising the fun and minimising the fuss.

The Nintendo Wii is much more than a mere games machine. It has built-in Wii Channels which will allow you to surf the Internet, edit your digital photos, check the news and weather, and much more.

The Wii console and its revolutionary motion-sensitive controller, the Wii Remote, have been designed so that anyone can enjoy games, whatever their ability or experience.

The Nintendo Wii's distinctive spelling suggests two players side by side. The two Nintendo Wii features Nintendo beleves will create a new level of gaming 'community' are built-in Wi-Fi access, supported by a new online gaming service, and Wii's intuitive, wireless, motion-sensitive game controller.

The Nintendo Wii system boasts 512 MB of internal flash memory, a slot for SD memory expansion & two USB 2.0 ports. At the heart of the Nintendo Wii is an IBM developed processing chip code-named "Broadway". An ATI graphics chipset code-named "Hollywood" to deliver stunning performance and instead of the ususal tray, the Nintendo Wii uses a single, 'self-loading' media bay that will play both 12-centimeter optical discs used for the new system, in addition to Nintendo GameCube discs. But the real 'revolution' in this system, though, is its controller, called the Wii Remote.

Just like a TV remote, the Nintendo Wii's new remote has been designed to be easy to use by beginners and pros alike. On-board sensors determine the Wii Remote's position in 3D space, which means that racing-game steering and a tennis swing, for example, are done through movements of your hand rather than by just your thumbs. There is even a tiny speaker built into the Wii Remote providing an interactive surround sound experience. The controller also has a 'Rumble' feedback feature and an expansion port for use with accessories, such as the Nunchuck, which adds an analog thumbstick and trigger buttons. A cleaver adapter that fits over the Wii's remote is available for those who prefer the feel of a traditional controller.

Xbox 360
Xbox 360
Xbox 360 is the second video game console to be produced by Microsoft, and was developed in cooperation with IBM, ATI, and SiS. Its Xbox Lives ervice allows players to compete online and download content such as arcade games, game demos, trailers, TV shows, and movies. The Xbox 360 is the successor to the Xbox, and competes with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles.

The Xbox 360 console was the first next-gen console to be released and features powerful hardware, software, and services to provide a massive leap forward in high-definition gaming and entertainment.

The key technical specifications of the Xbox 360 console include a custom IBM PowerPC-based CPU with 3 symmetrical 3.2GHz cores, a 500MHz custom ATI Graphics Processor with 10MB of embedded DRAM and unified memory architecture of 512MB GDDR3 RAM and 700MHz DDR (specifications subject to change) With specs like these the Xbox 360 is already more powerful than a £2,000+ state-of-the art PC.

The Xbox 360 also has three USB slots and both HD digital and standard audio visual outputs, which can power games in widescreen at 720p and 1080i resolution, complete with anti-aliasing functionality. This will result in much higher resolution games than ever seen before: the beginning of the HD (high definition) era.
